PULAU PAYAR
MARINE PARK
Snorkelling
Diving
Pulau Payar is an archipelago of small islands with green colors such as jade, located just 30 km southeast of Langkawi. The most spectacular marine park on the west coast of Malaysia is an hour away by boat from this little paradise: an ideal destination for the day.
This uninhabited and perfectly preserved marine reserve stretches over several islands, with Pulau Payar being the largest. You will be welcomed and hosted on the floating platform moored off Pulau Payar. But the interest of this platform is below sea level.
Enter the underwater observation chamber to admire the aquatic life around a reef. Do you want to see more closely the broom fish that populate these corals? Bring a mask, a snorkel and fins and dive into the heart of the show!
If you prefer scuba diving, the best site is along the reef along the south, east and west coasts of Pulau Payar. Remember to check with your dive center about same-day visibility, as conditions can change very quickly.

PADI OPEN WATER DIVER COURSE
DIVING COURSES INTERNATIONAL TRAINING
OBTAINING PADI CERTIFICATE
PADI is a diving training school; it's an American society. Rather than saying it is a leader in the diving training market, you could say that it literally "won" this market.
His system is obviously effective, safe and fun but now his ultimate weapon is his absolutely global recognition! No other diving school is as famous in the world as PADI!
And as their training system is absolutely identical in all the seas or lakes of the world, the big advantage for PADI certified divers is that no matter where in the world they decide to dive, the center will know exactly what the diver did during his training.
Weighted by the number of dives made and the time elapsed since the last dive, the instructors will be able to correctly evaluate the level of the divers and thus offer them a suitable outing: neither too technical so that the diver is not put in difficulty, nor too close to baptism to avoid annoying immersion.
The Open Water Diver is PADI's flagship diploma. This level gives you the keys of autonomy in the area of 18m (60 feet). 8 dives to get you to manage your dive: orientation, air autonomy, management of decompression problems, incidents ... Obviously, a significant theoretical contribution is necessary; it is followed by a multiple choice of 50 questions.
This training is a bit like the French level 2 but PADI divers are not trained to do decompression dives. At PADI, we learn to dive into the safety curve: immersions never require decompression stops other than a "safety stop" from 3 minutes to 5 meters deep ...
This difference makes training much less tedious than a French level 2.
In practice, after certification, this difference is of little importance because recreational recreational diving avoids, as much as possible, dives requiring decompression stops.
3 days of diving lessons at Pulau Payar provided by certified instructors and graduates to obtain the PADI certificate (diving certificate: open water diver)
